Celebrate Easter at London Zoo with an unforgettable family adventure packed with discovery, creativity and seasonal fun. This spring, visitors are invited to explore the Zoo on a special Easter egg hunt, searching high and low for six giant Easter eggs hidden around the grounds. Each egg reveals a secret letter, encouraging curious minds to work together to uncover the code hidden throughout the Zoo.
Celebrate 200 Years of Wildlife
Once families have completed the Easter Egg hunt, they can head to the main lawn to claim their tasty treat, and celebrate ZSL’s incredible 200th anniversary by visiting the new Heritage Exhibition on the lawn.
The Easter fun doesn’t stop there – young explorers can also take part in a creative arts and crafts activity, decorating their very own Easter Bunny crown inspired by ZSL’s 200 years of wildlife science and conservation. It’s the perfect way to enjoy Easter holidays in London, with hands on activities, outdoor exploration and memorable moments for all ages.

How the egg hunt works
- Start on the Main Lawn by picking up your trail card, then step into the Easter Garden to solve the clues and plot the hidden coordinates on your map.
- Once you’ve cracked the trail, set off on your egg hunt across the Zoo, collecting stamps at each egg to reveal the secret code.
- Return to the Main Lawn (next to the 200 years of ZSL exhibition) to claim your chocolate treat.

Each zoo-normous egg represents a different animal. At every stop you’ll uncover fun animal facts — plus stories connecting wildlife and conservation to ZSL’s 200-year history.
More Easter fun on the Main Lawn
Arts & crafts: Visit the tipi on the Main Lawn and decorate your own bunny ears headband to take home.

- Large print trail cards will be available from the main lawn
- The easter garden, easter egg locations and crafts will be fully accessible to all
- The hunt will have easy to understand instructions with the coordinates and the eggs locations written on the bottom of the trail card
- Lap trays will be available with the craft activity and wheelchair accessible benches to be used where possible
- A visual story will be available for the event
