World Penguin Day is on 25 April - and you are all invited to the Pool Party!
Join us as we shine a spotlight on our humorous Humboldt penguin pals this World Penguin Day. And because nobody likes the party to end, we are going to keep the celebrations going all weekend!

With over 60 penguins residing at Penguin Beach, we can guarantee over 60 different penguin personalities to fall in love with. As animal ambassadors for London Zoo, our Humboldt penguins can certainly teach us a lot about how incredible this species is and how amazing their adaptations are.
Learn about their unique behaviours, habitats and abilities as well as conservation efforts to protect them in the wild. Sadly, plastic is found in the stomach of over 80% of marine birds, and unsustainable and excessive fishing has caused a massive decrease in food for these penguins. These problems have resulted in Humboldt Penguin numbers declining by 85% in the last 40 years.
By visiting London Zoo, a science-driven conservation zoo, you will also be supporting our work with wildlife around the world, including marine birds and fishing routes.

Penguin Talks, Bubble Party, Keeper Q&As, Giveaways and Competitions
Join us for our usual penguin talks, but with bubbles! Enjoy watching our penguins playing with bubbles while we tell you all about them. Once you've discovered plenty of penguin facts, stick around for a Q&A with one of our expert penguin zookeepers.

Make a friendship bracelet to match our penguin! Our penguins all wear special bracelets that help us to identify them. Join our craft table to use our penguin ID chart to make your own bracelet that matches our penguin or create your own unique beaded bracelet!
Have a go at identifying some of our 60 plus penguins using our penguin ID chart.
Look out for some special Golden Tickets that will give some lucky visitors the chance to feed our penguins a fishy snack!
