London Zoo plays an active and crucial role in global conservation.
The Zoo is home to over 100 threatened species, including some that are Extinct-in-the-Wild, relying on care within the Zoo to survive for future generations.
As part of ZSL, the science-driven, wildlife conservation charity, we rely on donations, members and visitors to help us care for our animals and restore wildlife around the world.
Please donate to support London Zoo today.
How to donate to London Zoo
Donate online
Support London Zoo and our wildlife conservation with an online donation of any size.
Donations help us care for our animals and buy vital equipment for our conservation projects - from a £1 donation to buy food for our family of otters at London Zoo, to £10,000 for specialist equipment supporting our research into cures for wildlife diseases.
Every pound makes a difference!
Donate the cost of a festive dinner for our animals
This Christmas, give back to our animals in a unique way by donating the cost of a festive dinner.
Choose a starter, main, dessert or a full three-course meal and share the festive cheer!

Join our fight for wildlife with a monthly donation
Each month we’ll update you on the successes you’ve made possible with fascinating personal stories from our Zookeepers, Conservationists and Scientists, showing how your donations are making a difference.
You’ll receive a monthly email with behind-the-scenes videos, photos and written stories, with new species featured each month, just like this donor video about Critically Endangered big-headed turtles at London Zoo:
Add a donation to your Zoo ticket
When you buy a ticket to visit London Zoo, you have the chance to add an optional 10% donation to your ticket when you check out.
These donations make a huge difference to our conservation efforts and mean that we can claim Gift Aid from the government – that’s an additional 25p for every £1 you spend with us, at no extra cost to you.
Donate during your visit to London Zoo
If you’d like to support our animals during a visit to London Zoo, we have tap-to-donate points in Land of the Lions, Penguin Beach, Gorilla Kingdom and Tiger Territory.
There are also cash donation boxes at our retail and catering till points, and a tiger-striped donation post box near the Zoo entrance – you can’t miss it!
How your donations help at London Zoo
As well as supporting wildlife conservation around the world, your generous donations help us to care for our animals at London Zoo, home to many threatened species.
- A £5 donation could buy a box of cabbages for our giraffes, Molly and Nuru.
- A £20 donation could buy breakfast for all the monkeys, sloths and birds living in our Rainforest Life biome.
- A £100 donation could support a veterinary procedure for one of our animals.
