Activity programme
A DAY AT THE POOSEUM
Visit this unique poo exhibition, a 22-year labour of love for one of our former zookeepers, Tracey Lee. Starting out as two very special specimens – when the last elephant and black rhino were re-homed from London Zoo – added to canvas in a piece titled “The last poo at the Zoo”, today Tracey’s unique collection boasts over 100 preserved specimens and features dung from a wide range of creatures including an endangered gorilla, giant Galapagos tortoise and even a tiny poo from a caterpillar!
With guidance from a London Zoo expert, you’ll get the chance to become a poo-ologist for the day and find out all the vital insights that can be gleaned from a simple number two!
FAMILY FAVOURITE GAMES
Sure to entertain the whole family, every day at 3pm we'll be running a Game of the Day focused on animal feeding and digestion. Enjoy Poo Bingo, Poo or False or a matching and memory challenge Who Did This Poo?
'THE GREAT POO MYSTERY' SHOW
Discover the wonderful world of the Poo in the Zoo books by children’s author Steve Smallman. At 11:00am, 1:30pm and 4:00pm each day, kids will love the love stage adaptation of bestselling book The Great Poo Mystery.
'THE GREAT POO MYSTERY' TRAIL
Take on a quest, inspired by The Great Poo Mystery. The self-led trail includes challenges and clues helping young visitors track down a selection of London Zoo’s animals including lions, tigers, giant tortoises and penguins.

Join the illustrator of the Poo in the Zoo book series, Ada Grey, for a drawing class on 30th July.
