Tiger Keeper Experience

Join us as a VIP Tiger Keeper

Join our team before the zoo opens for the day to experience what it takes to care for our Sumatran tiger family and what goes on behind-the-scenes at the world famous zoo's Tiger Territory!

Arriving before the zoo opens to the general public, you'll join out team to experience what it's like to be a tiger keeper. Create enrichment, get into a bit of cleaning, see our keepers training, and learn about our work both within the zoo and out in the wild. If you're lucky, you may even get feed one of the tigers!

This is an intimate experience for up to four people only. Your tickets also includes admission to the zoo so that you can spend the rest of the day visiting our other 15,000+ animals!

By booking onto the experience, you'll be contributing towards ZSL's vital conservation work, which includes protecting tigers all over Asia.

Dates and Prices

• This experience runs 9-10:15 am on select Tuesdays and Fridays
• Tickets are from £135 per person including zoo admission for the rest of the day
   
• 10% discounts apply for Gold Members, Fellows and Patrons. Please enter your CRM ID in the offer code box.
• Those with disabilities can be accompanied by an essential carer to support them during their experience. Essential carers can enter the experience area free of charge but do not take part in the experience. Should you require an essential carer please put this information in the participant information form at checkout.

Know Before You Book

• Participants must be at least 11 years old and be accompanied by an adult at least 18 years old. There must be no more than 2 children per adult.
• Each adult must also have a valid Tiger Keeper experience ticket.
• Pregnant or nursing mothers cannot participate.
• This experience is wheelchair accessible. For health and safety reasons, the wheelchair must be a manual push chair. Wheelchairs are available for users of mobility scooters.
• For participants with a disability or learning difficulty, please contact us for advice before purchasing any of our experiences.
• You must wear appropriate closed toe footwear to take part in the experience.
• To protect our animals, staff, and visitors, please do not visit if you have any symptoms of COVID-19 and contact us to rearrange your experience.
